Home can be defined as a place where you feel that you belong: home is where the heart is. My home, my heart, is with my close friends. In this series of images, I attempt to capture the love, affection and support that this group of women share; knowing each other for many years, there is a level of comfort that is hard to define in words. I want to catch these little moments and document them as a way to try and understand and preserve these connections. The images were made using a flash to emphasize the quick nature of these images and to add a cinematic feel while controlling what details are visible to the viewer. I hope that from these images, you can see how we are all at home when we are with each other.
